Mission 3c: Fundraising for Innovative Start-Up Projects

start-up projects

Many a Nigerian youngster abound with innovative, creative and lucrative ideas but do not have the finances to start. Before long, the RevNig Movement (RevNig) will seek funding from its 20 million voters’ force for start-up projects across Nigeria.

RevNig urges financially disadvantaged Nigerian researchers, innovators and creators to reach out to supporters through their online platform. Showing detailed explanations of how they will go about their projects — how the project will benefit the everyday people, or how they will give back to the community with proceeds from the project. Their websites will also serve as a platform to make donations directly.

For example, if a million RevNig supporters donate $1 each, 100 Nigerian start-ups will get $10,000 as a start-up grant. Imagine how many youngsters we will uplift if we collectively sacrifice at least a dollar monthly or weekly.

With innovative initiatives that will benefit society, Nigerians should set up websites, social media accounts, and the like where they will sell their ideas to the world and where RevNig’s supporters and the general public can access full details of their plans; after that, the development of the projects.

They can commence by mobilising funds from friends, family and well-wishers through their online presence before the commencement of the RevNig fundraising program.

At the right time, the RevNig Movement will start reaching out to supporters to donate to such start-up projects.

“We didn’t become the most prosperous country in the world just by rewarding greed and recklessness. We didn’t come this far by letting the special interests run wild. We didn’t do it just by gambling and chasing paper profits … We built this country by making things, by producing goods we could sell.” — Barack Obama

Calling on Nigerians to Give Directly to Projects That Benefit the People

Calling on Nigerians to Give Directly to Projects That Benefit the People

calling on Nigerians to give

The RevNig Movement (RevNig) calls on Nigerians to give to projects or ideas that benefit everyday people. Giving is a veritable path to real miracles/healings people and communities can receive.

In the world’s developed societies, people give to projects that directly impact the commoners. Back in Africa, we spend even more than the developed world searching for a better life, but we misspend our hard-earned money on empty hopes and promises.

We squander our monies on native doctors, Babalawos, pastors and mallams who use it to better their lives and cart the rest away in banks and offshore accounts abroad. With a promise of a better life to unsuspecting followers, religious crooks are reaping the fruits of deceits while the living conditions of their followers are worsening by the day.

Fellow Nigerians, It is time we got out of these misconceptions and evil deceptions. RevNig urges the everyday Nigerian to redirect their hard-earned monies to realistic projects that will directly benefit the society and not those based on deceits — false hopes and promises.

If you earn $500 a month and give just 1% (not 10% as demanded by some religious cults) of your earnings which is $5, you will make a significant impact in the development of your community and your world if you decide to give at least a dollar each to:

1. Your alma mater – the primary, secondary as well as the institution of higher learning you attended or any other school of your choice
2. The hospital you were born or any other healthcare centre of your choice
3. A project in your ward, local government, state as well as national projects
4. A political party or any non-governmental organisation you support
5. Any international organisation of your choice
Thus, 1000 old students of a school, for example, contributing $1 each to a school monthly, will raise $1,000, which will assist the school in its essential needs. The same idea applies to hospitals and other community development needs.

Fellow Nigerians, there is a saying that tiny drops of water make an ocean. We all must learn to make a little sacrifice to bring a sea of relief to our people and communities.

Five dollars is what some use in buying a pack of cigarettes many times in one month. $5 is peanut compared to the amount spent by some on alcohol monthly. $5 is far less than what some spend monthly on faith-based purposes like tithes, offerings and the likes. Therefore, $5 will not be much of a setback if you decide to skip any of these habits once a month for humanity’s sake.

Again, there is an old saying that we reap what we sow. Let us sow in our communities so we can reap the blessings of God. No supernatural entity will come and bail us out. It does not happen that way. It never has. God has already put in us all that we need to make our lives better. It is up to us to utilise it or not. The miracles and healings we so desire will come our way if we first aspire towards them. The long life and prosperity we yearn for will come if we first embrace RevNig’s path to a better Nigeria.

Mission 4: Fixing the Corrupted Electoral System in Nigeria

corrupted electoral system in NigeriaFellow Nigerians,

We, the everyday Nigerians, must use the power of the people vested in us in a democratic dispensation to demand fundamental changes to Nigeria’s electoral system.

Since Independence, the corrupted electoral system in Nigeria has been a means to an end for the gang of leaders destroying the nation: An end characterised by the looting of public funds, lawlessness and bitterness. In Nigeria, elections merely recycle and legitimise gangsters – military and civilians – of the same clique and mentality regardless of the political parties or ideology (if any) they supposedly uphold.

The consequences of these manipulated elections are the destruction of lives and the ruination of Nigeria.

Undoubtedly, over the years, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) leadership has been making some changes to Nigeria’s electoral process, but that is barely enough. The 2015 presidential election was deemed one of the most successful elections in Nigeria’s history by observers, yet many lost their lives to the manipulations of politicians. Still, some were propagating tribal sentiments. The election was also not free of electoral irregularities and manipulations.

With the upcoming 2023 general elections, Nigeria is on edge yet again. The gangsters are ganging up again. It will only take the power of the people to keep the nation together this time around.

On this note, fellow Nigerians, it is time we joined hands to stop these electoral deceits and manipulations.

Never again must we allow electoral machinations perpetrated by our so-called leaders to destroy our country, lives, and property. It is time you joined the RevNig Movement and used the supreme power vested in us, the people, in a democracy to make changes: A change that will relieve Nigerians of the criminals parading themselves as Nigerian leaders.

The RevNig Movement is advancing responsible electoral solutions that will checkmate electoral malpractices. The Nigerian electorates must consider these solutions when dealing with prospective political officeholders — when nominating or electing leaders in Nigeria.

The following are the ways to fix the corrupted electoral system in Nigeria.

Mission 4a: Making Sure Eligible Nigerians Register to Vote

Nigerians Register to Vote

Fellow Nigerian, The gangsters ruling the country have turned elections into a do or die affair,  resulting in a threat to the nation’s unity. This violence must, and will stop if the everyday Nigerians exercise the powers vested in them in a democracy.

The first action Nigerians must take to guarantee a change in the nation’s electoral system is to make sure Nigerians of voting age, register to vote. With the ideals of the RevNig Movement (RevNig) coming to Nigeria’s rescue, your vote will never again be a ruse. Successive elections will be different.  We urge those who have not registered to do so and join RevNig’s 20 million+ voters’ force to demand the electoral changes we desire.

Registering to vote and joining the 20 million+ voters’ force will empower the movement to ensure:

  1. That we elect credible leaders in positions of authority.
  2. That we can force our leaders to do what is best for the nation
  3. That we can demand the electoral changes that will guarantee peaceful and transparent elections

If you are a Nigerian of age 18 and above, and you want to relieve Nigeria of the misery she undergoes during elections, you must go and register now and be prepared to cast your vote for the chosen ones in future elections.

Following RevNig’s plan, more than 20 million like-minded voters will vote in unison for chosen candidates or be voted into positions of authority.

Making sure your vote counts

Fellow Nigerian, the most vital stage of vigilance in the electoral process is making sure that our votes have value. If our votes count, we will be certain that those chosen to serve us, and not those who are imposed on us, win elections.

Then how do we ensure that our votes indeed count?

Many have proffered solutions on how best we can conduct a free, fair, and credible elections. There is no doubt that the introduction of the Electronic Voting System —  Card Reader and the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) —  has revolutionised our electoral system, but they are not free from glitches and manipulations. Read more about introducing CCTV and body cameras in voting centres here.

We must move further to back up the effectiveness of the Electronic Voting System by ensuring the introduction of polling booth (CCTV) and body cameras that will record and stream activities on each polling unit live to anyone that joins in the stream. These cameras will record the number of votes as well as any electoral malpractice or violence at the polling area.

In future elections, the RevNig Movement (RevNig) will be demanding the introduction of CCTV and body cameras in polling booths to ensure credible polls as well as promote accountability and transparency.
