Mission 2a: Urging Potential Leaders to Reach Out to Nigerians

reach out to Nigerians

The RevNig Movement (RevNig) calls on the few men of honour left in Nigeria to come out of reclusiveness and make their voices heard. Tell Nigerians how best to govern the country through their websites or blogs. How best to run a government ministry, department or agency in their expertise, experience or interest. Also, how best to govern a state or local government of their concern.

Through their websites or blogs, Nigerians will know all about them beforehand – their families, their health condition, educational qualification, past positions held and their opinions on matters of national, continental, and international concerns.

Fellow Nigerian,

A servant who sincerely wants to serve will have nothing to hide from their master. Therefore, any politician with something to hide is not fit to serve. Never again must we allow medically, educationally, mentally and morally unfit persons to rule over us.

Never again must we elect a president who will conceal his medical condition from us and consequently put the nation on hold with numerous medical trips abroad when elected — as in the cases of Late President Yaradua and now, Buhari.

Never again must we elect liars and certificate forgers to represent us.

Using the RevNig platform, the few men of honour left in Nigeria must unite to form a credible alternative to the present crop of villains we call leaders.

Join the RevNig Movement now! To build a better Nigerian society, we must separate the rotten politicians from the good ones.

aspiring leaders

The RevNig Movement (RevNig) urges aspiring revolutionary leaders to team up with like-minded Patriots–online and offline–to form a credible alternative to the cults we have as political parties today.

Prospective political office holders must start reaching out to each other and forming alliances. Through their thoughts and desires, coalitions of ideologically like-minded persons will emerge organically and grow into political parties established based on principles. These ideologies will usher in a healthy democratic contest based on governance ideals rather than ethnic, religious, or geographical considerations. Consequently, Nigerians will progressively align with the different ideological groups.

Fellow Nigerians, Nigerian leaders may not all strive to be president, governors, or in any other elective positions; many government ministries, departments, and agencies also need radical changes. Thus, if you know how any of the above named MDAs can better meet the needs of the people, you only need to show how knowledgeable and credible you are in your chosen discipline through your websites or blogs. RevNig will call upon you to hold leadership positions based on your capabilities.

2019 general elections

The RevNig Movement (RevNig) calls on revolutionary Nigerian elites to get ready for the 2019 general elections with lists of adequately vetted individuals set to take control of the nation’s affairs.

In future elections, this group of elites must be seen by Nigerians as thoughtfully prepared to take over the mantle of leadership from day one. They must be ready with a government-in-waiting constituted by responsive and responsible elites. They must show Nigerians that they desire to serve the wishes and aspirations of the everyday Nigerian when called upon to lead.

We will pick the best group or individual through opinion polls to get RevNig’s 20 million+ voters’ force. The force will support candidates that are ready to unveil the ideas of the RevNig Movement.

It is time the revolutionary Nigerian elites gave the commoners a choice between regression and progress—between the status quo or change. We of the RevNig Movement believe Nigerians have learnt their lessons and will vote for authentic reforms. Remember:

History is on the side of these brave Africans, not with those who use coups or change the constitution to stay in power“– Barack Obama.

raise funds

The RevNig Movement (RevNig) enjoins aspiring political office holders to build a website and join RevNig to access its organisational support: raising funds and mobilising supporters for their political ambitions.

Initially, candidates shall raise money through their websites or blogs. For example, an aspirant may have 10,000 followers sign up for a $1 monthly support or 1000 supporters to donate $10 each month; $10,000/month will get some started. All the more so with hundreds of thousands or millions of followers. It all depends on how much is needed to accomplish the political ambition. With proper planning, candidates can raise any sum of money. Ortos Web Design is waiting to help create a fundraising platform for revolutionary candidates at no service cost.

When we nominate candidates through the opinions of RevNig’s supporters, the Movement will mobilise its projected 20 million+ supporters to raise funds for the chosen aspirants for electioneering campaigns and other political activities.

Senator Bernie Sanders demonstrated the power of crowdsourcing on and offline in the 2016 American presidential election when he raised more than $200m in small donations from 2.3 million followers. Nigerians can do even more.

Fellow Nigerians, if we, the ordinary Nigerians, develop a strong will, which RevNig believes we will, we will not need much money to defeat those causing us pain – our leaders.

Remember:

“Our human compassion binds us the one to the other–not in pity or patronisingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future“– Barack Obama.

Nigerians who hate politics

The RevNig Movement (RevNig) calls on Nigerians who hate politics to give it a second thought. Those who say that because politics is a dirty game, they do not partake must get out of their faint-heartedness. It does not make sense if politics decides the value of money in their pockets, the quality of food on their table, the quality of the infrastructure they use — roads, hospitals, schools, potable water supply, and, above all, their peace and security.

If politics is a dirty game, it is time to clean it up.

Fellow Nigerians, you do not need to be a politician to make change happen. Supporting RevNig does not brand you a politician but an agent of change. You only need to register to vote, join the RevNig Movement and get ready to nominate and vote for revolutionary leaders that will take over the mantle of leadership in Nigeria.

No more excuses!

We urge Nigerians who hate politics to join  RevNig’s 20 million+ voters’ force today; together, we will clean up politics and improve our lives.

In the words of Nelson Mandela:

“As long as poverty, injustice and gross inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest.”
